Alejandro (Ali) Mireles

Ali has been a major contributor to his high school team, with getting his 1000th point in February. He is averaging 15 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, and can normally grab a steal or two each game. He was the top scorer for his team and had a fabulous game scoring a high of 41 points with 7 three point makes. Ali may be a shooting guard from the 3 point line, but he can also get inside through drives and manipulating the defense to get a gap.

Ali plays the defense with an aggressive approach and willing to take charges or stop the play at the basket. Ali will contribute to the game more than just making baskets with rebounding and steals. He will fight for the ball, he will contribute to the whole game, which makes him stand out above his teammates. He is shifty for his height.He has good ball handling skills, and continues to work on foot work and moves against defense. He is not afraid to be aggressive. 

Ali was named 1st Team All-District (5A) for Albuquerque High School as a sophomore, junior, and senior. He will continue to make a big impact and I think he will be a big asset to a college program. He has a good family unit, and parent support his efforts to attend college and continue his growth with a team.
